A new Concavinae (Cirripedia, Chesaconcavus) from the Late Burdigalian of Lower Bavaria (Germany)

A new species of Concavinae, Chesaconcavus gurlarnensis, is described from the Upper Burdigalian (Ottnangian) Upper Marine Molasse deposits of Lower Bavaria (Germany). This species is characterized by narrow scuta with truncate basiscutal angle and ridge for lateral depressor muscle extending from apex to base of lateral depressor muscle pit, and terga with short, truncate spur, and open spur furrow. It is the first Chesaconcavus found in Europe.
