The Andrew Whitham CASP Fieldwork Awards – Call for Applications

In recognition of CASP’s role as a leading provider of applied geological field research, we are pleased to offer UK and EU-based undergraduates to early career researchers some three awards of up to £4,000 to fund applied geological fieldwork addressing the energy transition. The awards were dedicated to the memory of Andrew Whitham in 2019.

Funding will be for the fieldwork element alone and therefore excludes any significant analytical budget and will not include the student’s stipend. Further award conditions and an application form can be found in the attached documents below.

Deadline: 1st February 2026.
